The sooner you book the better the deals. We start our senior sessions in May and go through the 2nd week of September. We are a very select senior studio and only accept a limited number of sessions each year. You must call early or you may be left with either no sessions left or one at an undesireable time.
We let you decide how many outfits you would like to bring. From 1 to 20. The first out fit is $49 each additional oufit is $19. We also offer a Fairport Village Walk which is $69. This is our premeire outdoor session.
Not at our studio! We add special effects such as black & white, sepia, color toning, etc, after the session. This lets us see each image as an individual and give it the attention it deserves. Some images just cry to be "effected"!
Give us a call or email. There is a $100 non refundable retainer when you make your appointment. We have many other kids who would love your spot. If you schedule a session and then don't show, someone else could have had your time. The retainer goes directly towards your package when you order.

For your yearbook PLEASE follow your school's guidelines. Both guys and girls should wear a long sleeved neutral toned shirt or blouse. No prints, no stripes, and no writing. Your bottom half will not be seen in these images. Your hands will be seen therefor make sure your nails are clean and presentable. Gentleman, Fairport does require you to wear a tie, please make sure you have one. Ladies, no cleavage.
We highly reccomend having your hair and make up done for your session. We do have make up artists and hair stylists available for you at an additional cost if you'd like us to provide you with that service.
We charge $75 for hair styling and make up application. Please be sure to let us know at the time of the booking if you'd like us to have our stylist/artist available for your scheduled shoot.
Anything you want! I simply ask if you're planning on bringing a pet that you let me know beforehand in case someone before or after you has an allergy. Bring your instrument, your ipod, your video games, whatever makes you, you. I've had everything from guitars to robots. I love to see unique things, they let me get even more creative! You can bring your favorite friend or significant other as a prop as well. The more the merrier!
Yes. A parent has to be present at the studio during the session. We do have a great gallery/waiting area where parents can relax and make themselves at home. We recommend that parents be out of your line of sight during the session so that you can focus on the camera without having to be more self-conscious than you have to be.
That's up to you. We have a lovely walkway at the studio that I use for some simple outdoor images. However, our real outdoor session is our Village Walk session. This is unique onto us and really lets you have a wide variety of images. This session takes about an hour. We walk the streets of Fairport village (or Schoen Place if you wish) and use various buildings, parking lots, and scenic locations for your images.
We also can go wherever you hang out. The coffee shop, the library, your favorite restaurant. As long it's somewhere on main street, it's a possiblity. You will be sitting on the ground, leaning against walls and kneeling so make sure you wear comfortable clothing. It can be hot so dress for the weather. You will be walking for about an hour, make sure you shoes can handle that. Parents, you are very welcome to come along on our walk, in fact, we encourage it, we need a willing assistant! If it rains this session can be rescheduled. We will not photograph in the rain.
Each outfit takes about 15 minutes. If you are doing only one outfit for your yearbook portrait we will take a little extra time. We allow for a 5 minute changing time, which is typically plenty. If you a slow changer PLEASE let us know so we give you extra time. The Village Walk session will take about an hour.
Please arrive early for your session!! 15 minutes is comfortable. This way you can check your hair and make up before we begin. You can also get settled in our changing area and put your first outfit on. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will be asked to reschedule. If there is not a time to reschedule you may lose your retainer. We have a very tight schedule during senior season and it isn't fair to the person coming in behind you to have to wait due to your tardiness. Please call if you know you are going to be late, arrangements may be able to be made.
When you book your session we will also book your viewing appointment for about 7-10 days later. Your images will be viewed on our 46" plasma tv. If you choose your images at your initial viewing appointment there will be an extra incentive. It changes monthly. Otherwise, you will receive a CD that expires in 30 days. We will not remake a CD after 30 days. At that point you will have to make an appointment to come in and review your images at our studio. These CDs only work on PCs at this time.
Hopefully you. When deciding there are strict rules we have to go by given by your school. We will show the images that fit those guidelines first. It is always appreciated if you choose that image on your initial viewing appointment. If we do not receive a choice from you 10 days prior to your glossy being due, WE WILL CHOOSE FOR YOU! The yearbook image is included in all of our packages and is sent directly to the school. This is not a print that you receive.
Most of the schools we hand deliver the images directly to the yearbook adviser. In some cases we will send the images certified mail. Some schools request digital file or CD and those all get emailed or sent together. Your yearbook photo should arrive a week before your deadline provided you have chosen your image.
Anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on when you place your order.
Minor retouching is included. A few blemishes are not a problem. Tough acne, braces, sun burn, tan lines, and glass refraction require a lot more time and effort and at times we might even have to send the images out to our lab. Therefore, you will be charged accordingly. If you wear glasses you may want to think about bringing a pair without the glass in them. Your eyewear professional is usually glad to help you with this.
We keep your images on file for up to 5 years. Any reorders will be charged at the current pricing for when you place the order.
We offer many different albums, signature books, folios, and graduation announcements. We often run specials on them throughout the senior season.
My suggestion would be to bring two more outfits in addition to what you're planning on. Sometimes an outfit you picked out may not be suitable for photographing. Keep things simple and solid colored. stripes and patterns just don't photograph nicely. Please make sure your clothing is ironed and fits well. Outfits that are too big or too small will show up twice as badly in your images. Make sure you are comfortable in what you are bringing. This not the time to break out that short skirt you wouldn't be caught dead in at school. You will be on the floor, you may be outside and you need to able to sit without distraction or constraint.
Footwear is a must with all outfits. Your shoes will be seen and should be appropriate to the outfit. Barefoot is always an option and goes with any outfit! Feel free to bring your sports uniform, your work uniform, a costume from your dance performance or play. Have fun with your extra outfits, this is where you shine through.
